ecopark - Now accepting your household hazardous waste, pharmaceuticals and recyclables
Are you looking for a place to recycle or dispose of items such as electronic waste, appliances, printer cartridges, scrap metal or propane tanks? Now there is a facility in Monroe County where you can take your items when it's convenient for you.
The ecopark facility – located on Avion Drive in Chili adjacent to the airport -- is a partnership between Monroe County and Waste Management to provide residents a centrally located one-stop drop-off to recycle and/or dispose of certain items to keep them from the community's waters and landfill.
The County says no other facility in the nation has the ability to simultaneously accept household hazardous waste, pharmaceuticals and recyclables.
The calendar displays all ecopark Special Collection/HHW events along with mobile HHW collections held at municipal highway departments and non-ecopark pharmaceutical collections. Appointments are only required to drop-off HHW items.
